Your rights as an H-2A worker

Never pay for the job

It is illegal for a recruiter or employer to charge you for getting an H-2A job. If they ask for money, that's a warning sign.

Your contract is the law of your job

You have the right to a copy of your contract (the job order) in a language you understand, with your pay, hours and housing.

Asking for help is your right

You can talk to your State Monitor Advocate or file a complaint. It is illegal to punish you for it.

A free program for farms that take care of their workers' safety and housing. Member farms can use the badge on their website, materials and product labels.

Safe housing (in development)

We're working to provide a safe place to stay during the 30 days after leaving an abusive farm and filing a complaint, before returning home.
